When Keith won't give her the help she thinks she needs to know her subject, she surreptitiously takes a job in a dance hall to do her own 'research'. While on a trip to Fresno to try a case, Keith and Glynis become lost, their car breaks down, and Keith has to push it to the nearest motel (Martha's Motel). What they don't know is that the manager of the hotel and her husband have just killed her sister (Martha)and hung her in the cooler (hence, the title of the segment). They have a comedy of errors trying to avoid detection, while Glynis inadvertently witnesses a murder but Keith doesn't believe her.
