MAN reveals to LAN his decision to marry KWAN. This has come as a crushing blow to LAN while FONG has also raised her objection at once. Despite all the responses he has received from his family, MAN is not going to change his mind. MAN and KWAN go horse-riding in the countryside, during which KWAN hints that she is not afraid of confronting MAN’s family and will try her very best to blend in with them. YEE goes to see LAN in her bedroom. She blames MAN for upsetting LAN all the time, and refuses to accept KWAN as her fourth mother. MAN asks YIN to oversee the renovation of the bedroom prepared for KWAN, with which YIN agrees. The renovation works have caused a considerable nuisance to FONG, who then subsequently projects all her anger onto YIN.
