The people of Xianyang welcome BONG’s return along the streets, which moves him. SUM is annoyed with YUE for forcing him to move out of Pengcheng. YUE sends PO to assassinate SUM in fear that he will take revenge later. LEUNG publicizes HONG’s crime to the world so as to ruin his reputation and call on all the kings to strengthen BONG’s forces. PING secretly seeks patronage with HAN for he cannot stand YUE’s growing arrogance. TSANG worries too much about YUE’s empire and eventually falls ill. LADY YUE takes good care of him. CHI knows that YUE has been relying on TSANG for strategies. So she decides to sow discords between them. YUE mistakes that TSANG is spreading rumours in the camp that his recent setbacks were caused by LADY YUE, so he stops TSANG from going to battles with him.
