Makoto (Konno Ayaka) is excited about her first date with Ren (Totsuka Shota). However, her happiness is shattered when her abusive mother, Hiroko (Yamada Kinuo), who she thought she had estranged from, reappears. "I'll never let you get away," she says. She is saved by her kind childhood friend, Tora (Nakamura Reia), who has become a detective. Makoto longs for her brief reunion with Tora, but Tora secretly harbors feelings for her.
