In the turbulent Chu dynasty, the Empress's son, Shen Ye, rebels to avenge his father and claim the throne for his beloved, Crown Prince Shu Cheng. However, Shu Cheng’s opposition to bloodshed forces Shen Ye to abandon his plans, leaving Chu vulnerable to invasion and rumors of Shu Cheng's death on the battlefield.
